Summary
Developing a game plan for content remediation is like "build-your-own-adventure". Let us do exactly that! Participants interested in developing a content remediation model unique to their campus will be led through different components and situations to empower their campus-wide content remediation efforts.
Abstract
Remediation of content like documents and videos is a hot topic. Many institutions are unaware as to how much inaccessible content exists on campus. Some are aware through use of tools like Blackboard Ally but may not know how to prioritize their efforts. And other campuses know the amount of content and priorities but are feeling lost about how to move forward.
There is no universal solution because each campus is different. Content remediation does take expertise, time, and resources. However, every institution can work within their constraints to work towards a more digitally inclusive environment.
This session is going to help you create a model for content remediation, unique to your campus. It will be an interactive, working session where participants will be asked to come prepared with information regarding their campus remediation efforts. The goal is to leave feeling empowered about tackling content remediation at your institution.
