Remote vs. Onsite Speaking
Similar to previous years, we will hold an onsite conference in November with an option to attend sessions remotely. There will be one track of sessions presented remotely (by remote speakers). However, unlike previous years, there will be no option for remote co-speakers for the onsite sessions.
Tools for Preparing Your Proposal (optional)
Prepare your proposal answers using this Word document or view all the information required in this 1-page HTML version of the form (not a fillable form).
Do not email the Word document for your proposal submission. It will not be accepted!
Topic Areas
Besides 1 and 2-hr main conference sessions, we are also looking for 3-hr or 6-hr pre-conference proposals.
The following are the range of topics covered by the conference:
- Accessibility and accommodation in the current political/legal environment
- Accessible Course Design
- Alternate Format & EPUB
- Artificial Intelligence
- Assistive Technology
- Braille/Blindness
- Captioning/Transcription
- Faculty Development & Support
- Legal
- Procurement
- Professional Development
- Teaching about Accessibility in Curriculum
- Universal Design for Learning
- Web/Media/App Access
You can also view last year’s conference agenda to get a sense of the topics covered..
(Contact the conference organizer for more details).
Notifications
Speakers will be notified by May 30 confirming acceptance or decline of their proposal(s).
Second Round of Submissions
If there are remaining presentation slots after the first round, a second round of proposals will be announced around mid-May.
Please note that due to a limited amount of time slots, some proposals may not be accepted. Proposals submitted during earlier rounds are given preferred consideration for speaker slots.
Do not assume there will be a second round RFP!
