Abstract
With information and communication technology (ICT) evolving at a rapid pace, institutions are finding it difficult to remain proactive in implementing digital accessibility standards. This group of Information Technology and Disability Services staff will share the University of Colorado Boulder’s Department of Justice investigation and will encourage attendees to also engage in dialogue about what their institutions are experiencing regarding ICT accessibility (Google apps, placement exams, learning management systems, policies, etc.).

Speaker Bio(s)
Jill Sieben-Schneider
Jill Sieben-Schneider received her BA degree from the University of Colorado Denver and her MA degree from Ball State University in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education. She is currently an Assistant Director at the University of Colorado Boulder in the Disability Services office. Prior to this she was an Accommodation Specialist and coordinated the Transition Program in the McBurney Disability Resource Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has also served as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Disabled Student Development at Ball State University and taught high school English in Denver Public Schools. Her areas of interest include retention, program assessment, and transitional issues for students with disabilities. She can be reached at jill.schneider@colorado.edu.
Mark Werner
Mark Werner is Associate Director of Academic Technology Strategy and Support at the University of Colorado Boulder. He has held positions as Associate Director of Academic Technology Research, Manager of Instructional Technology Support Services, Academic Technology Coordinator, instructor and assistant professor of technical communication. Mark holds a Ph.D in rhetoric and an M.A. in English from Carnegie Mellon University. He holds a B.S. in technical communication from the University of Minnesota. He currently co-chairs the committee for ICT Accessibility Services and Support at the University of Colorado Boulder. His group provides universal design consultation to the University of Colorado Boulder campus.
Paul O'Brian
John Meister has served as the Director of Disability Services since January 2013. John joined the University of Colorado Boulder as a Disability Specialist in 2009 and has taken on additional roles and responsibilities during his tenure at the University. John received his Bachelor of Science (BS) from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 1991. He earned a Master of Science (MS) from the University of North Texas in 2006 with a specialization in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. John currently holds a license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the State of Colorado as well as the designation of Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) from the Commission on Rehabilitation Counseling Certification (CRCC). Prior to joining CU Boulder, John served as the Coordinator of the Disability Resource Office at Colorado State University-Pueblo for 3 years.
