Summary

Learn about the University of Colorado’s implementation of accessibility improvements for PeopleSoft Campus Solutions student self-service, using the GreyHeller PeopleMobile® product. Team members from CU and GreyHeller will describe the project, share lessons learned, and answer questions.

Abstract

Over the past three years, the University of Colorado has focused on remediation and improvement of accessibility problems for PeopleSoft applications, with specific attention on PeopleSoft Campus Solutions self-service functionality. Campus Solutions 9.0, particularly in student self-service, does not provide a usable experience for those using assistive technology such as screen readers. At the University of Colorado, our goal is to provide an accessible and usable system that follows WCAG 2.0 AA guidelines. We’ve worked with GreyHeller, a mobilization and security solution provider for PeopleSoft applications, to implement the PeopleMobile® product for PeopleSoft accessibility remediation. In addition, CU has developed accessibility and usability testing processes that contributed to the project’s success. This presentation will review the project, share lessons learned, next steps, and provide Q&A time.
