In this session, learn how to incorporate Word features to facilitate the creation of an Accessible PDF file.

Abstract

In this session you'll learn about the features in Microsoft Word that are critical to accessibility and specifically to the creation of an Accessible PDF file. You'll learn how to incorporate proper tag structure into a PDF file as well as how to ensure all of your graphic elements contain appropriate alternative text or how to artifact them and prevent them from being read by assistive technology. You don't need to be an expert in any product to benefit from this session. This session is geared towards the everyday Word user who is tasked with creating Accessible PDF files.
