Summary
Are you helping faculty with accessibility support on campus? Do you have a faculty professional development team that would benefit from having additional accessibility support resources? Do you want free digital goodies?
If your campus uses Canvas, learn effective practices faculty can adopt to help make their courses more inclusive.
Abstract
How can we empower students to independently access course materials? Faculty curate and create students' learning environment. It is essential to provide faculty the support and guidance needed to help students access and navigate to the information they need. What should faculty do with course materials such as PDFs, Microsoft Documents, and PowerPoints? Are there ways we can help faculty leverage Canvas? How can we scale faculty support in creating an accessible learning environment? Join Liezl Madrona, CCC Accessibility Center's Instructional Designer Accessibility Specialist and recent Online Education Initiative Instructional Designer, as we explore ways to support faculty in creating an inclusive environment in three steps. Also, workshop attendees will enjoy *free digital goodies* to help support faculty in accessibility efforts!
