There're a lot of accessibility tools available today. This presentation will provide an overview these tools, and how they can be built into your workflow.
Abstract
Identifying accessibility issues as early as possible in the web SDLC can save an organization or project a substantial amount of money, time, and headaches over trying to augment a web site or application after initial development. Using a testing tool for accessibility will definitely help with this process.
We will start with some very basic checks that will help uncover a large percentage of accessibility defects. From there, using some in-browser tool tools for additional checks/ information by performing a manual scan, or audit, of a particular web page. Finally, for the more advanced cases, we will talk about automated testing tools that allow for robust scripting of accessibility tests. We will talk about the possibility of incorporating into build processes, unit tests, and end to tests.
This presentation will be mainly suited for front-end developers but could also benefit QA testers and anyone that is interested in providing an accessible online solution.
