| Balbabolka is both a e-reader as well as a tool to convert text to audio formats using a TTS voice. It can display file formats including: EPUB, HTML, MOBI, ODT, PDF and RTF. It functions with most screen readers and also reads with synthetic voices. The user can customize font and background colors which is important for users with low vision or visual processing disabilities.
Balabolka enables users to convert the text in the e-reader to audio files. The on-screen text can be saved as a WAV, MP3, MP4, OGG or WMA file. The audio uses one of the user’s TTS voices for the audio. Balabolka can save the synchronized text in external LRC files or in MP3 tags inside the audio files. When an audio file is played with players on a computer or on modern digital audio players, the text is displayed synchronously (at the same way, as lyrics for songs). |
