Abstract

ZoomText is the number one screen magnification and screen reading software for the visually impaired. Come to this demonstration to see firsthand all the new products Ai Squared recently released including ZoomText Mac, ZoomText ImageReader (making all print accessible), ZoomText for Windows 8, and MORE! We’ll have copies of free trials to take back home with you as well. This is a great opportunity for end users and professionals alike. Here’s an outline of what we’ll cover: *ZoomText now supports the Mac! *Demonstration on how much better we magnify and smooth fonts compared to the built-in Zoom *Screen enhancements, tracking, and reading tools to be demoed as well *ZoomText ImageReader, making all print accessible *Demonstration using the included HD document camera – in a few simple steps, all your print material is converted into accessible, electronic text, that’s automatically read aloud *Or, save the text for reading later on *Demonstration of other modes – capturing areas on screen, capturing text from the clipboard, or performing OCR on image files *ZoomText for Windows 8 *Demonstration of all the great ZoomText features that are available in Windows 8, including touch screen support *And more! Participants will have a chance to ask questions, plus take home a free trial.

Rebecca White

Kimberly Cline has over 20 years of experience in the assistive technology industry. Over the years, she has specialized in working with individuals who have unique computer needs. She owned and operated The Adaptive Advantage Point, where she worked with clients from Bureau of Services to the Blind and Visually Impaired, Vocational Rehabilitation and the Veteran’s Administration. Kimberly taught and distributed the following adaptive software: ZoomText, Visability, Open Book, Vocal–Eyes, Window-Eyes, Half QWERTY, Dragon Dictate, amongst others. Kimberly worked as a Regional Sales Manager for GW Micro, and she was responsible for the Western Region sales and marketing. As of June 29, 2012, Kimberly started working with Ai Squared the makers of ZoomText. As their Regional Channel Manager, she is responsible for managing the dealers and evangelizing the world class products that Ai Squared has to offer.
