Abstract |
| This presentation will begin by giving a high-level overview of laws and standards relevant to document creation and remediation, as well as the potential user impact when PDF documents are not accessible. Following, key topics to guide content authors in creating (or remediating) accessible PDF documents will include: the creation of accessible source documents, the use of proper heading structure and reading order, textual alternatives for visual elements, using the Make Accessible Wizard and Accessibility Checker in Acrobat, using the Touch-up Reading Order and Tags panels, and best practices to maintain and update document creation processes and ensure ongoing accessibility. |
