Abstract

Kurzweil 3000-firefly is an assistive technology, text to speech, learning tool that supports the concept of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) with a suite of powerful reading, writing, test-taking, and study skill tools that makes curriculum accessible to all students. Kurzweil 3000-firefly is particularly appropriate for students with learning disabilities such as Dyslexia, those who require reading intervention, students struggling with reading comprehension and English Language Learners (ELL). Kurzweil 3000-firefly provides anytime, anywhere access to digital, text-based content through the Kurzweil 3000 web license software, the firefly website, and the firefly iPad app.
