Summary of Session

In an increasingly digital world with content providers using different web interfaces to showcase their accessible content. Is there a way to include the less technically proficient in using this new resource?

Abstract

This session will demonstrate how finding, obtaining and listening is a consistent task which can be undertaken everyone. The latest best sellers, timeless classics and popular periodicals can be downloaded from accessible libraries using a new Bookshelf tab page added to the SuperNova Control Panel. Content providers include Bookshare, NFB Newsline, NLS and Gutenberg amongst others, with more libraries being added regularly. As a causal reader, learner or wanting to keep up with the daily news or magazines a user has the option to listen to the content using the E-reader or transfer to a USB connected hardware like a Victor Stream or range of other devices. Books can be audio or text only and of unlimited file size.

Kepoints

  1. No need to learn 5 different web page layouts as Bookshelf is one consistent interface
  2. All you need to find, download, play or transfer is in Supernova Bookshelf
  3. The technical level is lowered to include all not just the iPhone generation.
