|
| We will discuss the accessibility of popular e-learning and information and communication technologies currently used in postsecondary education and highlight emerging trends. These include recent developments in the use of digital textbooks and note taking, as well as the evolution of e-learning, including open source materials, mobile learning, MOOCs, gamification, wearable technologies, and the expansion of YouTube as a learning platform. We also note that a trend worth watching is personalizing accessibility via the cloud. Increasing use of universal design principles - in particular, ensuring the accessibility of technologies in the emerging stages at the inception of development, is recommended.
