Summary of Session

This session is an overview of some of the changes and new features that will affect those of us who use adaptive technology and those of us working in alternate text production centres.

Abstract

Although Microsoft Office has been in public preview for the past few months, it is difficult for those of us who use adaptive technology to try these types of offers unless we can use them without our adaptive technology. Typically when a new version of something is released it is one or two versions later that the adaptive technology supports the latest version. This session will identify some of the changes in the way tools work in Office 2013, some techniques for dealing with the changes and some of the new tools that are available to us. There have been changes to the spell check, Reading Layout, Track Changes and even the way we launch Office 2013. If you are contemplating updating to Office 2013 don’t miss this session!

Kepoints

  1. Learn what changes in existing tools are in Office 2013
  2. Learn what new tools are in Office 2013 and how to use them effectively.
  3. Learn alternate ways of doing daily tasks to lessen the effect of change.
