Abstract
PDF and document accessibility is pivotal for fostering inclusive environments. In this session, we focus on the transformative journey of our PREP - PDF and Document Remediation Platform, showcasing the latest advancements in its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. In this session, we will walk through the following: PREP’s improved AI auto-tagging capabilities (improved from 75% to 95%) to automate PDF tagging, and dramatically streamline workflows A view into PREP's latest version and how the automation works for PDF accessibility while limiting manual efforts to a minimum. How PREP’s latest user interface makes final checks even more intuitive. An update on PREP’s capabilities over the last 18 months which include several easy-to-use features that empower users to focus on refining accessibility elements rather than making corrections. PREP's AI capabilities to automate alt text creation for complex content, such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) materials, improving inclusivity across diverse disciplines. How PREP is supporting current workflow by integrating with 2 leading LMSs i.e. Canvas and D2L. This integration makes remediation an integral part of the workflow with ease. One simply needs to import the document from the LMS, auto-tag with PREP, check for accessibility, and excerpt it back to the original location. An update on the suite of APIs to facilitate easy integration with cloud-based platforms, enabling effortless document remediation, accessibility checks, and compliance reporting.
In conclusion, this session expands on how PREP can play a bigger role in supporting educational institutions and accessibility teams to revolutionize document accessibility with seamless remediation and comprehensive accessibility features.
