Summary

This panel discussion will address themes that intersect those of Against Technoableism and “Cyborg Concerns.” Our panel consists of disabled technology users who use different devices and configurations to replace or enhance function or adapt to tasks and interests -- some of whom have claimed the word cyborg to describe their constitution with technologies. We will discuss our experiences of technology and - taking a phrase from the keynote talk - how our cyborg concerns diverge from those of technicians, physicians, designers, and the rest of society.
