In this presentation, a framework for e-Learning will be introduced to discuss comprehensive and critical issues of accessibility in the design of globally diverse and meaningful e-Learning.
Now, more than ever before, learning can be made accessible to anyone. With the emergence of the Web and advances in digital technologies, learning can be designed to encompass the needs of learners with disabilities. Designing accessible e-Learning requires in-depth understanding of how to integrate e-Learning factors and international accessibility guidelines throughout the entire e-Learning development process.
Interface Design - page and site design, content design, navigation, and usability testing
Evaluation - includes assessment of learners and evaluation of the learning environment
Management - maintenance of learning environment and distribution of information
As Senior Director of Strategic Consulting and Training Services for Level Access, Bill Curtis-Davidson brings over 20 years of experience working in strategic user experience (UX) design and digital accessibility consulting. Bill joined Level Access after working for 15 years with IBM as a UX and Digital Accessibility Consultant, Business Development Executive and Executive Architect. Prior to that, he worked as a Digital Accessibility Researcher and adjunct faculty at Georgia Tech. Bill has helped dozens of companies plan, implement and manage their digital accessibility operations. He has been involved in advising numerous government advisory committees, standards development organizations, and industry associations.
