In this session we will be presenting an INCLUSIVE CAPTCHA fulfilling all of the three orthogonal properties Usability + Security + Accessibility.
Visual CAPTCHAs are designed to be unreadable by machines, hence are inaccessible to assistive technology users. Audio CAPTCHA cater to assistive technology users but may be difficult to solve, time consuming and have low success rate as seen in research literature, thus degrading usability and accessibility. Also the current state of Audio CAPTCHAs can be broken by high-quality ASR and noise removal systems. There is always a tradeoff between the goals of security, accessibility and usability. Our solution aims to provide a new CAPTCHA fulfilling all the goals of three properties. The CAPTCHA generation module randomly selects a theme (For example - conversation in a park), then creates a media file by combining two or more media files pertaining to main dialogues, environmental, background noise and background speech. The combined audio file is then presented to the user along with a comprehension question to be solved. Quantitative and quantitative analysis of the user study conducted with 24 screen reader users (partially blind or completely blind) and 95 non-disabled (main stream) users recruited by crowd sourcing will also be covered.
